The Copperbelt Health Education Project (CHEP), under the Cecily’s Fund Project recently visited Grow Groups in Chingola to strengthen their capacity in savings and financial management.
The groups visited included Emmanuel and Grace Grow Groups from Kacema Musuma Community School in Twashuka area, Tubombeshe and Twikatane Grow Groups from Isubilo Community School in Kasompe area and Lesa Alasuka Grow Group from Mimbula Fitula Community School in Mimbula Fitula Area.
Members of Tubombeshe Grow Group, Esther Mugala and Loveness Chanda shared that the savings initiative has significantly improved their ability to provide school supplies for their children and has also supported the growth of their agricultural activities. They explained that before joining the Grow Groups, they faced financial challenges and struggled to sustain their livelihoods.
